Hyundai Rotem’s new hydrogen fuel cell tank runs silently and evades radar!

Hyundai’s new tank that looks like something out of a science fiction movie The new tank prototype of the Hyundai Rotem factory has left jaws agape with its advanced features. The new generation tank, powered by a hydrogen fuel cell, has caused both excitement and concern in the military field. So what makes this tank so special? Here are all its features…

Hyundai Rotem says the new tank will be adept at evading enemy radar with its low noise level and reduced heat dissipation. The tank’s hydrogen fuel cell technology runs much quieter than diesel-powered tanks, making it a virtual “ghost” on the battlefield. It can therefore avoid the enemy’s thermal tracking devices.

Conventional diesel-powered tanks make a lot of noise and emit a lot of heat. As a result, they are easy targets for the enemy. Hyundai’s new hydrogen tank, however, can move silently and leave a much lower heat signature, allowing it to operate without attracting the enemy’s attention.

In addition, the high power and mobility offered by the hydrogen fuel cell allows the tank to perform at its best even in off-road and challenging environments. In other words, this tank is not only stealthy, but also very fast.

Meanwhile, the tank’s features are not limited to silence and power. Hyundai Rotem is equipping the tank with highly advanced combat capabilities such as a 130 mm cannon, automated driving technology and a drone management system. This means it will be adaptable for both manned and unmanned operations.

The tank will also be covered with radar-absorbing materials, making it adept at hiding from radar systems. This is vital on the battlefield. Hyundai plans to have the next generation tank fully developed by 2040.

Of course, hydrogen fuel cell technology still has some challenges for civilian use, but its advantages in military applications, such as high energy density and silence, make it an ideal solution for such projects. If this tank works as expected, it could completely change the old strategies we see on the battlefield.
